THERE are temporary traffic lights in place on Wilton Road AGAIN.

It comes just days after a three-week-long gas leak caused chaos on the road due to the temporary traffic lights in place.

Energy company, Scotia Gas Networks (SGN) has confirmed that while carrying out previous emergency work to gas mains in the area, another leak was found.

A spokesperson for SGN said: “Today we are using specialist camera equipment to locate the leak and allow us to carry out further repairs.”

National Highways also confirmed the work involves identifying and resolving a leak.

A statement added: "The work is being carried out in two phases, the first phase being March 10 to April 5, and the current second phase, April 14 to April 24, although they may finish earlier than April 24."

Last month three gas leaks were found near the same area which caused long delays and left Virgin Media customers without broadband, television or telephone access from March 8 until March 28.
