A MUCH-loved family bakery is undergoing a refit in a bid to modernise the store.

In an effort to make the store look sharp and to fix wear and tear, Reeve the Baker's Butcher Row store has had one side of it gutted while the other remains open.

This comes after the store’s signs were refurbished revealing the old signs that had been hidden underneath for years.

The bakery has had many brand changes down the years, and the owners were not entirely sure when that particular one was installed and when it was covered up.

Salisbury Journal:

On the latest refurbishment, Gary Reeve, owner of Reeve the Baker company, said: “We like to trade in Salisbury and we want to modernise the store and make it look fit for purpose.

“Shutting one side of the store will always affect business but having the other side of the store open has helped us mitigate the loss”.

Said to reopen this weekend, the other side of the store looks to be refitted afterwards, switching which side is open.

On Facebook, the bakery thanked the public for bearing with them and invited people to still come down as they work on one side of the store.
