RESIDENTS will soon be able to support members of the armed forces – past, present, and future as plans for the annual Armed Forces Day are underway.

The free event will take place in Guildhall Square and Market Place and will bring the community together.

There will be military displays from organisations including the Royal Military Police and 32 Regiment Royal Artillery as well as live music throughout the day.

Visitors can enjoy the Salisbury City Band of the British Legion and the three-piece harmony band Cool Hand Uke.

There will be fair rides, workshops and craft make-and-take activities for younger visitors.

The event takes place on Sunday, June 25 from 10 am to 4 pm

Traders can apply to participate in the event by contacting Salisbury City Council.
