There's half price entrance for Dads on Sunday, plus they get to enjoy the model railway exhibitiont taking place all weekend.  Train fans will be chuffed with a Father’s Day weekend event boasting trains large and small at Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway.

Visitors will be treated to an array of model railways, owned by members of the New Forest Model Railway Society, as well as various working steam engines, all displayed within Exbury’s very own working railway shed.

Aboard SS Shieldhall...

One of the ‘sounds of the summer’ is about to be unleashed on Southampton Water and the Solent as Southampton’s heritage steamship, SS Shieldhall, commences her 2023 public sailing programme this weekend.

Enjoy a Father's Day All Things Steam cruise to the Solent on Sunday.  As part a Shieldhall cruise, guests get to see the impressive engine room with its original triple-expansion steam engines at work and the bridge, with its traditional instruments and gleaming brasswork; admire the ship’s steam assisted steering gear (similar to that used on Titanic); talk to the captain and crew; listen to the commentary passing the sights of Southampton Water and the Solent; pass close to the great ocean liners, cruise ships and container vessels; walk the teak decks; relax in the saloon with a wide range of refreshments including tea and coffee, real ale, a range of Titanic Ales, wine and hot and cold food.

The Custom and American Show returns on Father's Day with hundreds of cool American motors, colourful custom cars and bikes, live music and hip entertainment throughout the day.

Held in association with the Solent Renegades club, and celebrating the truly individual creations of the motoring world, expect a stunning display of American motors at the heart of the show.

From classic Camaros to modern Mustangs, can you spot your dream car? Look out for jaw-dropping custom cars, bikes and trikes, and hot rods, as they take their places in the diverse line-up.

Legendary custom car builder and Custom and American Show ambassador Andy Saunders will be returning to the show, along with his latest creation, Deja.

Get your feet tapping to brilliant music throughout the day, as the Honky Tonk Angels and Rooster take to the stage to perform rousing tunes.

There will be a Father's Day competition and face painting will be free of charge to show-goers.

Dads go free at Showcase Cinema de Lux, Southampton 

Dads and father figures can watch a film for free this weekend to celebrate Father's Day - but only if they're joined by the rest of the family. Showcase Cinemas says the offer will allow families to spend some quality time together.

The deal will see the price of a ticket for a family of four ticket reduced by 25% - so dads won't have to pay for their seat. Families taking advantage of the special offer on Sunday (June 18) will be able to watch all the brand new releases including superhero sequel Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, The Flash and action-packed Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts.
