A CAR crash on a lonely road brings a family to an isolated cottage in rural England and from the very first moment they arrive, a strange sequence of events starts to happen.

Then the lights go out.

This new ghost story by acclaimed writer Torben Betts will have the audience riveted to the edges of their seats and stars Tom Chambers as troubled singer Danny Sierra.

Director Philip Franks said: “Horror films have been my guilty pleasure since I was a morbid child. Now is the time to find out whether many years’ worth of jump scares and terrible nightmares can be put to good use.

“We’ll also see whether my more adult theory – that horror often puts its finger on what worries us most as a society at any given time – will also hold true."

Tom Chambers (Danny Sierra) is well-known for his roles as Inspector Sullivan in Father Brown, Max Tyler in Waterloo Road, and Sam Strachan in Holby City.

Susie Blake (Mrs Bateman) is best known for roles as the Continuity Announcer in Victoria Wood: As seen on TV, as well as playing Bev Unwin in ITV’s Coronation Street and Hillary Nicholson in BBC’s Mrs Brown’s Boys.

Rebecca Charles (Rebecca) with recent theatre credits The Dresser, An Ideal Husband, Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Bridget Jones’s Diary on Television.

Jonny Green (Jake) is currently playing Charles in Count Abdulla on ITVX but also played Johnathan Ellacott in Strike: Troubled Blood on BBC1.

Owen Oakeshott (William) has performed in Witness for the Prosecution, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Two Gentleman of Verona and on television, was in the House of the Dragon and Outlander.

Laura White (Sarah) has recently played the regular role of Dr Princess Buchanan on BBC 1’s Doctors and as Aysha in Silent Witness. Theatre credits include Sandra in The Play That Goes Wrong.

The play will be directed by Philip Franks and is at the Salisbury Playhouse from Monday, October 2 to Saturday, October 7.
