A DISCOUNT department store has confirmed it will move into a former M&Co shop in the centre of Ringwood.
The Original Factory Shop will replace the former M&Co store at 28-30 Southampton Road in Ringwood later this year.
The Echo previously confirmed the brand would open in the historic market town but its precise location at the time was unknown.
Residents believed the old M&Co was the most likely candidate, due an ‘under offer’ sign on its frontage, while others thought it would be the former Ringwood Surplus store in nearby Meeting House Lane.
Founded in 1969, The Original Factory Shop sells branded fashion, homeware, beauty, and other products at discounted prices.
Job adverts have been posted online seeking an assistant store manager for the new site in Ringwood.
A company spokesperson said an opening day would be confirmed at a later date.
