THESE eight people were sentenced for committing crimes in and around Salisbury.

Jack Finley Jordan, of no fixed abode, failed to comply with the requirements of a community order imposed by Salisbury Magistrates Court on April 29, 2022.

The 20-year-old admitted the breach and failed to attend appointments as directed on July 28, July 30 and August 13 2023.

Jordan was also re-sentenced for a string of 33 original offences, including stealing two televisions worth £680 from Tesco, Tidworth, and assaulting Callum Morgan by beating him on December 4, 2021.

At a Salisbury Magistrates Court hearing on Thursday, August 31, Jordan was sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 18 months, due to his wilful and persistent failure to comply with the requirements of a community order.

He was consecutively imprisoned for eight weeks due to his flagrant disregard for people and their property.

Jordan must complete 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days within 18 months.

Stephen Dickel, 39, of Westwood Road, pleaded guilty to carrying on business as a scrap metal dealer between March 21 and June 5, 2020, without a licence.

Also, between March 9 and March 24, 2022, Dickel failed to comply with a requirement from an authorised officer to produce his authority or his employer's authority to transport controlled waste.

Dickel was ordered to pay £4,551.58 for the scrap metal offence and £1,000 for transporting controlled waste at Salisbury Magistrates Court on August 31.

Jack Sparrow, 18, of Churchfields Road, assaulted Shanice Sharples by beating her and criminally damaged a window belonging to the King's Head, Bridge Street, on March 5.

Sparrow pleaded guilty to the offences and was ordered to pay a £400 fine, £85 costs, £160 surcharge and £200 compensation by Salisbury Magistrates Court on September 1.

Michael Paul Bronsdon, 38, of Balmoral Road, was caught travelling 67 miles per hour on a 50 miles per hour limit section of the M1 Motorway in Leicestershire on January 16.

His driving record was endorsed with four points and he must pay £202.

Thomas Yona, 44, of Sherbourne Drive, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay £730 for driving a Toyota Rav4 in Ford while exceeding the alcohol limit.

Beckham Taylor, 25, of Ringwood Avenue, assaulted Kaysha Henderson by beating her on March 11.

He was sentenced to a community order, ending August 31, 2024, which ordered him to complete 40 hours of unpaid work and pay £199 to the court.

Magistrates imposed a restraining order preventing Taylor from contacting Miss Henderson.

Michael Hill, 56, of Morgans Vale, threatened Daniel Wright in Redlynch on June 13 and failed to comply with a community protection notice.

He was handed a community order and must complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay £125.

Simon Byers, 54, of Osmund Walk, drove a Ford Fiesta at Shrewton on August 7 while over the alcohol limit.

He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay £1,178 to the court.

Trystan Alexanda Marshall, 29, of Crescent Road, failed to comply with the community requirements of a suspended sentence imposed by Salisbury Magistrates Court on January 30.

Marshall admitted to not attending unpaid work sessions on March 26 and June 27.

Magistrates ordered him to pay £140 before September 28 at a hearing on August 31.
