SALISBURY'S annual food festival offered flavours from across the world and welcomed hundreds of people to the city.

Foodie Sunday, held in Market Place on October 1, was the free event that brought Taste Salisbury to a close this year.

The city centre was filled with dozens of food vendors offering a vast variety of cuisines, local businesses selling produce and live entertainment spread across two stages.

Salisbury's own bake off challenged contestants to bake their best cake and Gritchie Brewing Co. set up an on-site beer tent.

Live events included demonstrations from local chefs, eating competitions and the 'Time Traveller's Kitchen', a cookery and recipe show based in a Pompeii kitchen.

Portions of food ranged in price but the average was around £10 and stall owners were happy to chat with guests to explain their products and offer free samples.
