A MAN in his 20s was arrested in the city centre on suspicion of various offences following reports raised by concerned members of the public.
The police received reports of a green BMW driving recklessly around Salisbury city centre yesterday (Wednesday, November 15) and officers located the vehicle parked on Silver Street with no one in it and boxed it in.
A spokesperson for Salisbury police said: “When the occupant of the vehicle returned, he was arrested on suspicion of common assault, section 5 public order, and for driving without insurance.
“He was later further arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and actual bodily harm. A woman in her 30s was also arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and section 5 public order.
“They both remain in custody for questioning.”
