AN ANNUAL Christmas Raffle has been launched ready to help fund vital hospital equipment.

Money raised by The Stars Appeal raffle will go towards its annual £1million goal helping to help fund equipment for Salisbury District Hospital which includes 20 specialist cots for new-born babies.  

Funds will also go towards a new additional endobronchial ultrasound scope for the Respiratory Department and a mechanical CPR machine.

Consultant surgeon at Salisbury District Hospital and Chair of the Appeal Ambassadors, Mr Graham Branagan said: “By taking part in the Christmas raffle, you will be helping the Stars Appeal to do more to support patients and staff at our hospital. We couldn’t do it without you, thank you.”

Dealer Principal of FJ Chalke, George Chalke, said: “Having seen first-hand how local people benefit from projects funded by the Stars Appeal, like the breast unit, new scanners and accommodation for parents with poorly children and babies, we are delighted to continue our support for this amazing charity.”

Tickets cost £1 each and are available online or from the main entrance of Salisbury District Hospital. Online entries will close on Thursday, January 4 and paper ticket stubs must be returned to the Stars Appeal by Monday, January 8.

The draw will take place on Thursday, January 11 2024. Winners will be announced at starsappeal.org
