Both Labour and Conservative parties (including our local MP) were quick to condemn the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, but refused to sanction the Israeli violence still underway in Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of more than 12,000 innocent victims so far, and the destruction of thousands of homes.
The killing of Israeli civilians, reprehensible as it was, in no way justifies such slaughter of children, women and men in Gaza.
By refusing even to call for a ceasefire, the two biggest political parties are in effect condoning the violence - which the UN warns, may amount to genocide.
As a result, I won't be voting for either in the next election.
