THE FATE of the much-loved ornamental dragon which became a central feature in the city has been decided.

A debate was held at a council meeting on Monday, October 9 and after discussing costs, council members decided to give Salisbury residents the chance to vote whether Gilbert is to be replaced or retired.

Salisbury City Council set up three options on the Facebook page and asked people to vote.
