THE festive season bus schedule has been announced and passengers are advised to check the timetables before they travel over the Christmas and New Year holidays.
This is due to a variety of changes having been made where in some cases no buses are running.
Cabinet Member for Transport, Councillor Caroline Thomas, said, “The local bus companies have informed us that their timetables will change over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
"People can check bus times and plan their journeys in advance by visiting our Connecting Wiltshire website, or by accessing the bus companies’ website or app.
Cllr Thomas added: “With most single fares still costing £2 or less, the bus is an option I would encourage everyone to consider when Christmas shopping, visiting friends and family or going out to celebrate.”

Christmas and New Year Bus Schedule
Friday December 22 - a normal Friday service applies
Saturday, December 23 - a normal Saturday service applies
On Sunday, December 24 (Christmas Eve), a Sunday timetable will operate on all routes. The Stagecoach operated activ8 journeys at 2050 from Andover and 2205 from Salisbury will not run.
On Monday, December 25 (Christmas Day), no bus services will be operating.
On Tuesday, December 26, most bus services will not operate. There will be a special timetable for the Red1, Red2, Activ8 (Stagecoach will not be operating) and the X4. There will be a Sunday service for X3. No other routes will operate.
Wednesday, December 27 is a normal service except for Activ8. This will run to a Saturday timetable. Routes 100x, 101, 120 and 211 will not operate.
Thursday, December 28 is a normal service except for Activ8. This will run to a Saturday timetable. Routes 100x, 101, 120 and 211 will not operate.
Friday, December 29 is a normal service except for Activ8 which will run to Saturday timetable and routes 100, 100X, 101, 110 and 120 will not operate.
Saturday, December 30 is a normal Saturday service.
Sunday, December 31, most services will operate a Sunday service but the Stagecoach operated activ8 journeys at 2050 from Andover and 2205 from Salisbury will not run.
On Monday, January 1, there will be special timetables for the Red1, Red2 and X4. The Stonehenge Tour and X3 will operate a Sunday service.
From Tuesday, January 2, buses return to normal timetables.
