PARTS of Fordingbridge were affected by flood water recently with warnings from the Environment Agency listing Roman Quay, Timbermill Court, and Bowerwood Road most at risk.

Mark said: "The past two floods have been very extreme in contrast to previous years. The water rose within a couple of hours up to depths of 4ft and nearly flooded out our two neighbours.

"There were many vans that believed they could get through, however as the road is on a camber, they quickly became stuck in the deep water pushing it further up the driveways. There are still flood warnings in place for the next week and we are hoping that as the water travels down the meadows it won't rise up again."

Linda Foreman lives in Breamore.

She said: "The river has burst here but only covered the hard standing where we park. The actual road and surrounding fields are flooded but the road is passable.

"Bowerwood Road did flood quite badly in Fordingbridge - the second time in a few months but it is cleared now."

Due to work commitments and weather restraints he was unable to fly the drone at peak flooding times but managed to capture the changes to the landscape.

He said: "It is always looks totally different from above. The first chance I get I send the drone up. People say that the flooding is worse this year, I don't think it is but then, I didn't get to see it when it first happened."

Information Officer at Fordingbridge Town Hall Kay Radigan said: "We have not been made aware of any flooding that has impacted adversely within Fordingbridge.

"Bowerwood Road was flooded and impassable over the weekend but has since reopened. The recreation ground remains under water due to the river Avon bursting its banks."
