The Journal understands the delay is caused by temporary traffic lights on Exeter Street.

It comes after it was announced that parking will be temporarily suspended on Exeter Street. This is to enable provision to be made for coach parking while works to refurbish the coach park in Millstream Approach are undertaken.

Notice was given that the Wiltshire Council will make an order to temporarily suspend: Parking Monday to Saturday, 8am - 6pm, two hours, no return within four hours on the following road: Exeter Street - West Side - from a point 15 metres north of its junction with Carmelite Way to a point 79 metres north of that junction.

This order has been in place since Monday, January 8, 2024, and is anticipated to be required until Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

The Old George Mall and Wiltshire Council has been contacted for a comment on the situation.
