A Bulford individual was charged over £1k in fines, surcharges and court costs after they were found driving with more than the prescribed limit of alcohol in their system.

Nana Karikari, of Winnipeg Road in Bulford, was stopped by police on Sunday, July 16 while driving a Volvo SC60 down Culver Street in Salisbury.

Karikari had 46 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.

Karikari was disqualified from driving for 14 months, with the possibility of ending the disqualification 14 weeks early upon the completion of a course.

They were also issued with a £460 fine, £400 in court costs, and a £184 surcharge.
