A GROUP of Network Rail workers retrieved two dogs who had found their way onto the line in a Wiltshire village.
Luckily, Network Rail was busy working on the line in West Dean and the workmen were able to catch the two dogs who had escaped the person walking them.
After safely getting hold of the pets, the workmen phoned up Wiltshire voluntary group Solstice Missing Dogs for help on Thursday, January 25. However, they were able to reunite the pets before the missing dog group's help was needed.
Volunteer Karen Boyce, 57, from Durrington, said: “We’ve built up a really good relationship with Network Rail. Sadly, we have so many deaths on the railway. We were massively grateful to the staff at Network Rail for catching them and giving us a call."
