Salisbury Live will kick off its first “Beggars Bash” event without two of its originally scheduled acts, instead featuring the Salisbury debut of a new punk cover band.

Duck Fest will take place from 4pm to 11pm on Saturday, February 3 at The Duck Inn in Laverstock. The original lineup included Alex Morgan-Wardrop, who has had to cancel his appearance due to a “really nasty chest infection”, according to a Facebook post by Salisbury Live on Wednesday, January 31.

Salisbury Live announced on Friday, January 19 that the band Pyeshoppe would also be unable to attend as originally planned, with their slot being taken over by the punk cover band Kerpunk’s first Salisbury appearance.

The “Beggars Bash” events help fund other, larger, Salisbury Live events which take place during warmer times of the year.

Duck Fest is free entry with festivalgoers asked to make donations to Salisbury Live.

The lineup for Duck Fest includes the bands Jet Back, The Zucchini’s, 3MO, Folk’d About and acoustic acts by Fret n Keyz, Ribble, Eddie George and Sock Puppet Jukebox.
