LOCAL wrestlers will go head-to-head with European champions at an upcoming live event in Salisbury.
All Star Wrestling South is putting on its third show at Studio Theatre, Ashley Road, on Saturday, March 2.
The headlining match will see the 'One Man Armoury' Bullit wrestling against the 'Maori Warrior' NIWA, from New Zealand.
The show also features former WWE NXT UK star and world travelled wrestler ‘the English lion’ Eddie Ryan.
There will also be a women’s match as one of Europe's best female wrestlers LA Taylor offered an open challenge to any wrestler at ASW South who thinks they have what it takes to get into the ring with her.
Joel Pettyfer, who lives in Salisbury, opened the Pitton-based training school in March 2023 and will be wrestling on the night.
Mr Pettyfer was the first ever WWE NXT tag team champion and spent three years wrestling for the WWE. He has also completed eight tours of Japan with All Japan Pro Wrestling.
"Salisbury was always a hot bed for pro wrestling. It's great to be able to bring quality wrestling back to the city," he said.
ASW South, which has roughly 35 members, has been "very busy" this year and Mr Pettyfer said his numbers are steadily growing.
He's on the cards for the upcoming event but his ultimate goal is to develop his younger wrestlers and get them recognised so they can start attracting a crowd.
Studio Theatre's doors will open at 7pm and the event is set to start at 7.30pm. Adult tickets cost £15, children under 16 £10 and a ticket for a family of four costs £45.
Mr Pettyfer said tickets to his previous two wrestling shows in Salisbury sold out weeks before the event.
