THESE eight people were recently sentenced at Salisbury Magistrates Court.

Pierrot Thierry Jessie Cavellec, 30, of Lower Road in Quidhampton, used his mobile phone while driving a Mercedes along Churchill Way West on April 4, 2023.

He pleaded guilty and was sentenced through a single justice procedure at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Monday, February 5.

Cavellec's driving record was endorsed with six points, he was fined £125 and ordered to pay £25 costs and a £50 surcharge.

Kieran Mangabhai, 19, of Poplar Way in Bishopdown, failed to give information relating to the identification of a Citroen C3 driver when required at Swindon on or after September 26, 2023.

Mangabhai, who is a new driver, was found guilty and sentenced at Salisbury Magistrates Court on February 5.

He was fined £660, ordered to pay £354 and his driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

Rosemary Anne Parsons, 53, of Carmelite Way in the Friary, committed benefit fraud between November 27, 2017 and January 15, 2023.

Parsons dishonestly failed to promptly tell the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in her circumstances which she knew would affect her carer's allowance.

She pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to a community order and required to complete 200 supervised hours of unpaid work within the next twelve months.

Dylan Martinez, 30, of Queens Walk in Ashford, was caught breaking the 30-miles-per-hour speed limit on the A338 at Cholderton on March 3, 2023.

His record was endorsed with three points, he was fined £72 and had to pay a £29 surcharge.

Norton Joseph Anthony Sparrow, 27, of no fixed address, failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Salisbury Magistrates' Court on September 28, 2023.

Sparrow failed to turn up to probation appointments on November 12 and November 26 without giving evidence of a reasonable excuse.

He must carry out seven hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and continue with alcohol treatment and rehabilitation activities.

No order for costs was made due to Sparrow's financial position.

Daniel Peter Hannigan, 51, of Vimy Crescent in Bulford, was seen speeding in a Ford Kuga on the B390 in Chitterne on December 5, 2022.

Hannigan, who pleaded guilty, was fined £153 and ordered to pay £151. His driving record was endorsed with five points.

Simon William Waterfield, 64, of Kite Lane in Shepton Mallet, drove a Range Rover along the A303 at Chicklade over the speed limit on February 10, 2023.

Pleading guilty and sentenced through single justice procedure, Waterfield must pay a £666 fine, £266 surcharge and £90 costs.

He was also disqualified from driving for 28 days at the hearing on Wednesday, February 6.

Eileen Meredith Pembridge, 79, of Priory Grove in London, broke the 30 miles-per-hour speed limit on the A338 Downton Road in a Suzuki Alto on February 15, 2023.

Pembridge pleaded guilty and was banned from driving for three months, fined £460, ordered to pay a surcharge of £184 and costs of £90 on Wednesday, February 6.
