WORKS taking place on a bridge which was damaged in a crash could take up to four weeks, National Highways has confirmed.
As previously reported, temporary traffic lights were installed on the A36 at Skew Bridge, Wilton yesterday, Monday, February 19.

Now, National Highways has confirmed that the works which are taking place are to repair damaged brickwork on a parapet, a low protective wall along the edge of the bridge, caused by a crash last year.
In a statement to the Journal, a spokesperson for National Highways has provided more detail as to what works are taking place, she said: "The work on the A36 at Skew Bridge is to repair damage to the brickwork on the parapet following a vehicle strike last year.
"The work will take approximately three to four weeks to complete, depending on weather conditions, and the lights will be in operation for the duration of the works.
"There was no structural damage to the bridge."
