THESE nine people have been fined in court recently after they were caught littering in Salisbury.

All of the defendants were proven guilty and sentenced by a single magistrate outside of open court as a way of speeding up the legal process.

Salisbury City Council was the informant and each of the cases were dealt with in Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.

Amanda Jayne De La Hay, 58, of Deweys Way in Gillingham, littered a cigarette butt in Blue Boar Row on June 7. She was fined £146, costs of £155 and a £58 surcharge on February 1. Her guilty plea was taken into account.

John Percer, of Stratford Road in Salisbury, littered two pieces of Starbar wrapper in Southampton Road on June 20, 2023 and was ordered to pay £463 on February 8.

Andrew Stones, 33, of Rofles Court, Gigant Street, dropped a cigarette butt in Old George Mall on July 30 and was ordered to pay £463 on February 19.

George Stefanesscu, of Fisherton Street, dropped a cigarette and left it in Fisherton Street on June 7 and was ordered to pay £463 on February 8.

Alex Tate, 22, of Lanfranc Close in Old Sarum, dropped a cigarette butt in Catherine Street on June 6 and was ordered to pay £463 on February 8.

Amy Jenson, 23, of Goddards Court in Castle Road, dropped two cigarette butts in Southampton Road on June 28 and was ordered to pay £463 on February 19.

Jacob Holt, 39, of Woodside Road, dropped a cigarette butt in Summerlock Approach on June 28 and was ordered to pay £463 on February 19.

Stephanie Gilbert, 34, of The Wirr, Steeple Langford, littered a cigarette butt in Blue Boar Row on June 30 and was ordered to pay £463 on February 19.

Lee Sheppard, 26, dropped and left a cigarette butt in Market Place on June 30 and was ordered to pay £463 on February 19.
