A CARER wants a court to reconsider his plea after admitting to stealing tens of thousands from an original Thunderbirds writer.
Allan John Beacham, 66, of Wootton, Kent, pleaded guilty to one charge of theft on the first day of his trial at Winchester Crown Court on Monday, January 5.
On the day of his sentencing in Winchester on Friday, March 8, Rob Harding, defending, made it clear to the court that Beacham wants to vacate his guilty plea.
Between January 1, 2017, and June 1, 2019, Beacham allegedly stole cash from Emmy award-winning film writer Alan Pattillo while employed as his full-time carer.
The pair lived in Salisbury before Mr Pattillo died, aged 90, in January 2020.
Beacham initially pleaded not guilty but his trial was called off by His Honour Judge Richard Parkes KC after numerous delays including Beacham being medically unfit to stand, collapsing in the dock and the defence's accountancy expert being unavailable.

Beacham is due to appear before His Honour Judge Adam Feest KC at Salisbury Crown Court on April 19 to enter an application for his guilty plea to be vacated.
The case continues.
