A HORSE was rescued by police after it was spotted running down a busy road.
Following reports of a horse running loose down the busy A338 road in Britford at around 3.30pm on Easter Sunday, March 31, police intervened and took the animal to a nearby farm shop, where it was secured in a field.
Police confirmed that the horse appeared unharmed, and was retrieved by its owners.
A statement from police reads: "We were called to reports of a horse running loose near the A338 road at Britford at about 3.30pm yesterday, March 31.
"The horse, which appeared uninjured, was secured by our officers at Britford Farm Shop. and secured in a nearby field before being retrieved by its owners"
