A COUNCIL has defaced a new mural with a sign pointing its workers to electric car parking spaces.
The installation, which obstructs the top-right border of Tech Moon's kingfisher painting, is one of many new signs plastered around the toilet block of the Central Car Park in Salisbury.
It directs drivers into the small section of electric car parking spaces and reads 'electric vehicle charging bays for Wiltshire Council fleet vehicles only'.
Krishna Malla, 38, also known as Tech Moon, has been spray painting riverside animals onto the toilet block since March after success in last year's River Park-funded competition.
The Bournemouth-based artist is in the process of decorating the walls with an otter, an Atlantic salmon and a butterfly.

Krishna did not want to say anything about the sign when approached by the Journal on Thursday, April 4.
Shocked residents took to social media to express their outrage and disbelief at the council's new sign.
One person wrote: "Sorry but that is crazy."
"Couldn't believe when I saw that this am. Completely spoilt," another added.
Wiltshire Council has been approached for comment.
Updated: The Journal understands the sign was removed from the mural on Thursday afternoon, April 4, but is awaiting a response from Wiltshire Council.
