Aldi has dozens of jobs available throughout Wiltshire ranging from £8 an hour to £95,000 per annum.

In September 2023, it was confirmed that Aldi was looking to build new stores in Wiltshire as part of a £1.4 billion investment in around 500 additional supermarkets nationally.

According to reports, the chain is currently looking for new locations in Devizes, Bradford on Avon and Salisbury.

Career Starter Stores

Description: This Career Starter Apprenticeship allows you to learn something different every day in a fast-paced environment. Balancing theory with practical store work, you'll be expected to work hard on this one-year programme.

By the end of the year, you will be able to gain a Level 2 Retail qualification and work as a fully-fledged Store Assistant with real opportunities for progression in the future.

Deputy Manager

Description: You'll need to maximise sales, ensure great customer service, minimise costs and optimise operational efficiency. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, you'll be fully in charge of the store, gaining valuable experience to help you take your next step in management.

This means you'll tackle everything from ordering stock to training employees, and from checking product displays to delivering sales targets. You will also receive an additional premium of £4.00 per hour while running the store.

Salary: £13.25 - £14.20 per hour

Stock Assistant 

Description: In this role, you'll need to keep stock losses to a minimum, help out with inventory counting, check off deliveries and ensure the shelves are fully stocked with attractive, well-presented products.

You'll also need to provide excellent customer service at all times by attending to customer needs in a prompt and friendly way.

Salary: £12 per hour

Store Assistant

Description: You'll do everything from checking off deliveries to dealing with enquiries or ensuring that the shelves are fully stocked with well-presented products. You'll also provide excellent customer service at all times by attending to customer needs in a prompt and friendly way.

Store Cleaner

Description: This role will see you tackle things like removing litter and debris from the car park and loading bay, washing external windows and glass doors, or making sure the trolleys are clean and free of rubbish.

Store Management Apprentice

Description: Balancing theory with practical store work, you'll be expected to work hard on this three-year programme. By the end of the three years, you will be able to gain a Level 3 Retail Team Leader qualification and be working as a fully-fledged Deputy Store Manager with real opportunities for progression in the future.

Salary: £8.44 - £11.83

Store Manager (West Wiltshire Area/Salisbury Area)

Description: Several responsibilities come with being a Store Manager - one day could find you sorting out deliveries, placing orders and scheduling hours to meet operational efficiency targets.

Next, you might be focused on people management and performance, handling customer queries or carrying out spot checks. You’ll also handle the goals of maximising sales in your store, ensuring great customer service, minimising costs and optimising operational efficiency.

Salary: £50,600 - £65,995 per annum

Assistant Store Manager (West Wiltshire Area/Salisbury Area)

Description: There are several responsibilities involved in being an Assistant Store Manager, from helping the Store Manager with sorting out deliveries, placing orders or dealing with customer queries, focusing on people management and performance or organising holiday rotas for the team.

You'll also help to handle the goals of maximising sales in your store, ensuring great customer service, minimising costs and optimising operational efficiency. On occasion, you’ll need to step into the Store Manager’s shoes in their absence.
