A HAIR salon manager is ‘over the moon’ to be shortlisted for a prestigious national business award.

Paula Wood from Saks Knutsford is buzzing with excitement after making it to the finals for Franchisee of the Year, sponsored by Great Lengths, at HJ's British Hairdressing Business Awards 2024.

“I've poured my heart and soul into reaching this point in my career and I couldn't be prouder of what I've accomplished.

“The support I've received from being part of a franchise has been indispensable.

“I aspire to motivate others to explore franchising as a viable path to kickstarting their own salon business."

This success comes just weeks after Saks Knutsford on Minshull Street was named Best Hair Team in the national 2024 salon awards.

Saks Knutsford has won Best Hair Team at The English Hair and Beauty Awards 2025, Chapter 1.

The Minshull Street salon was up against fierce competition but received recognition from the judges and took the trophy home.

The British Hairdressing Business Awards spotlight those who are making waves in the industry, changing the game for everyone involved.

Paula clinched a spot in the finals with a standout entry detailing the qualities that position her as an inspiring and successful franchisee.

Winners will be announced at a gala event on Monday, July 1 at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.

A total of 17 trophies will be awarded, recognising excellence in various categories such as best team, outstanding customer care, and sustainability.
