AMESBURY Community Soul Singers teamed up with Winton Community Academy to raise almost £1,000 for charity.
The two groups hosted a performance to raise funds for Andover Young Carers on the evening of May 11.
The event featured performances by the Winton Community School Big Sing Choir and the Amesbury Community Soul Singers drawing an attentive audience.
Under the keen direction of Ross Gooding, approximately 60 performers ranging in age from nine to 90 delivered a diverse mix of music including soul classics, and popular Disney tunes.

Beyond choirs, the event showcased exceptional solo performances. This included a heartrending rendition of Ed Sheeran’s 'Photograph' by Year 9 student, Isla, accompanied by Year 10 student, Lacey, on guitar.
Other solo performances involved student Maria’s compelling execution of 'A River Flows in You' on the piano and 9-year-old Bailey’s jazzy piano solo further engaged the audience.
Additionally, Winton students Sophie, Jake, and Linzi, along with many others, directed the choir performances, complementing them with skilled choreography.
The Amesbury Community Soul Singers also featured unforgettable solo performances by singers Cerrie, Kim, Jan, and Leila. The stentorian choir stirred the audience with their heartfelt songs performed with rhythm and heart, spreading positivity around the hall.
Staged in support of the much-needed charity for young carers in Andover, the performances stimulated harmonious engagement from parents, carers, friends, family, and teachers, all proud of the combined achievements.
Amesbury Community Singers expressed pride in sharing the stage with Winton students and complimented their respectful behaviour.
The singing event also received voluntary attendance from students who wholeheartedly supported the noble cause.

Ross Gooding, head of music at the school and director of the Amesbury Community Soul Singers said: "I want to thank everyone who contributed in any way to the event.
"Those who came and watched, those who supported with rehearsals, preparations, donated to the raffle, helped with refreshments and to those who donated to the cause.
"I am delighted to announce that we raised a staggering £948.59 which will all go towards the work of the Andover Young Carers Charity! Thank you."
