IF YOU were walking through The Close today, you may have noticed a big presence of emergency services.
But nothing was wrong - Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Rescue Service was carrying out a training exercise at Salisbury Cathedral.

The scenario was of a badly injured person needing rescue from the tower, and involved crews from Salisbury fire station, the aerial ladder platform, a technical rescue team from Poole and colleagues from the South Central Ambulance Hazardous Area Response Teams.
They were on site from around 10am this morning until about 2pm this afternoon.
