A community fund set up in memory of Thom Belk will launch in August with a live music night. 

Mr Belk, who was known as 'Mr Salisbury', died suddenly on December 26, 2023, and was well-known across the city for his involvement in football and music.

The Thom Belk Community Fund, a grant-awarding body set up in Thom’s memory to offer financial and material help for young people interested in music, performing arts and sport.

On Saturday, August 10, there will be an evening packed with live music, supported by several Salisbury businesses.

Salisbury Journal:

It will be organised by Salisbury Live and Rose Gale Trust at Salisbury Arts Centre, and feature seven of Thom’s favourite Salisbury Acts, performing across two stages.

The seven acts will include:

6.30pm -7pm Alex Morgan-Wardrop 

7pm - 7.30pm CLS

7.30pm - 8pm The Helmets

8pm - 8.30pm Charmtype 

8.30pm - 9pm Lump

9pm - 9.45pm Signature Vision 

9.45pm - 10.30pm Carsick 

Salisbury Journal:

A celebratory ale brewed by the Rude Giant Brew Co named “Thom’s Tipple” will be sold at £4 a pint, and “BELKO BURGERS” will attend, with vegetarian and vegan options also available.

The event will be supported by: Nole Pizza, Chickpea, Wiltshire Creative, Novia Foundation and BSM Stagetec.
