A NEW Forest inspector got his 15 minutes of fame after featuring on a popular Netflix TV show.

Inspector Ord from New Forest Police starred in a documentary highlighting a crash that happened in Portsmouth in 2016.

The one-off documentary showcases the heroic work of teams and officers in dealing with the aftermath of a serious incident.

The documentary follows a fatal crash that killed Luke Fletcher, 19.

The true crime documentary is currently number one in Netflix UK and Ireland.

Inspector Ord said: “I am pleased it has done well, because there are important messages in there around the consequences of dangerous driving, particularly with young boys together.

“The film also highlights the great work of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. They work on really serious cases and they’re often very complex with lots of use of forensics.

“It’s often an unsung area of investigation, so it’s great to see it highlighted in this way.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary added: "If you haven’t seen it yet, please take a moment to watch the hour-long episode, so you too can witness the hard work, dedication, and determination of our teams in getting the results they do, ensuring families achieve justice for their loved ones."
