I live in Orcheston, a small village adjacent to Shrewton.
I regularly travel the A303 both east and westwards.
There are certain times when I avoid the A303 due to the bumper to bumper congestion.
Those times are Friday afternoons and bank holidays. Otherwise, unless there is an accident, I have little problem with congestion.
As a qualified environmental scientist specialising in environmental and social assessments, I do not believe a tunnel or a dual carriageway between Countess Roundabout and Winterbourne Stoke justify the huge social, natural, archaeological, heritage, economic costs and negative impacts they would incur.
