On Wednesday, August 7, my wife walking across the large area, twixt Primark, Costa Coffee and M&S in The Old George Mall was unfortunate enough to fall and injure herself.
The response was immediate and overwhelming, help arrived from all directions; passers by, staff from Primark, M&S and Costa and from The George Mall employees.
I thank them, and everyone who stopped and proffered help from the bottom of my heart.
I would especially like to thank the staff from Primark who used my wife's phone to call me and then, with the George Mall staff, stayed with my wife until I arrived and then escorted us to my car, which I had stopped in New Canal, so that I could take her to A&E.
In the Emergency Department, the staff were kind and provided the treatment needed as quickly and efficiently as they were able in the prevailing circumstances and so, a big hats off to them.
You hear many people comment on Salisbury's short comings but my wife and I are so so glad we live in a City which has so many kind, caring people and a hospital which provides such excellent care.
