A MAJOR road is going to remain closed until Sunday due to ongoing repair work.
As previously reported, the A36 is closed northbound from the A3090/Romsey Road from Ower, to Whinwhistle Road in Blackhill.
The closure is in place while a burst water main is repaired by Southern Water.

The work is expected to continue until the afternoon of Sunday, August 11.
A Southern Water spokesperson said: “Our teams are repairing a burst water main at the A36 Salisbury Road, close to the Ower Roundabout.
“The nature of the work has required a road closure at the A36, and we’re very sorry for the impact this is having on residents, businesses and commuters in this area.
“The repair is ongoing and we’re aiming to reopen the road on Sunday.”
