DRIVERS are being warned of a slip road closure on the A303 following a two-car crash overnight.

The A303 westbound exit slip road for the A343 Salisbury Road is closed for investigation work on Monday, August 19, following an incident overnight.

AA Traffic has said there was an oil spillage and resurfacing work is required before the road can be reopened.

National Highways has reported that the closure, which is resulting in delays on the approach, will be in place until 4pm.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called at 1.52am on Monday, 19 August 2024 following a collision involving a green VW Beetle and a black Mitsubishi Outlander on the A303 westbound off-slip for the A343.

"Three people; a man and woman aged in their 50s, and a man aged in his 40s, were taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening, injuries..

"Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has CCTV or dash-cam footage of the incident, or anyone who saw the vehicles prior to the incident to report online, or call 101, quoting 44240355154."
