Salisbury Cathedral will be seen as never before this September.
Premiering on September 18, The Planets: Out of Darkness will display Salisbury Cathedral as it never has been.
The film will be released during the 150th anniversary week of legendary composer Gustav Holst’s birthday.
The Planets: Out of Darkness presents stunning night-time drone footage of the empty cathedral, accompanying Assistant Director of Music John Challenger.
John will be performing his full organ arrangement of Holst’s The Planets.
The film premieres for free on the Cathedral’s YouTube channel on Wednesday 18 September at 8pm.
An audio recording will also be released for download and on CD.
This Autumn is set to be a busy one for the Cathedral, which is also hosting events such as the Planetarium Discovery Day in October and Sarum Lights: Time in November.
