A woman has been honoured with an award for her 'long service, commitment and dedication'.
Thelma Marsh has been a member of the Royal British Legion (RBL) Morgan’s Vale, Woodfalls and Redlynch Branch for 24 years and has received the RBL Gold Award.
This recognises her 'long service, commitment, and dedication' to the branch, the RBL, and the local community.
During her time with the RBL, Ms Marsh has held four demanding appointments.
The award was presented to her at the branch coffee morning, which saw a large community turnout.
John Glen MP made the presentation, expressing gratitude to Ms Marsh and the branch for their community work.
The RBL plays an active role in the community, relying on the help of its members to carry out its work in local areas.
The RBL also participates in various events and activities to raise public awareness of its work and encourage more people to get involved.
These activities include county shows, local fetes and fairs, open evenings, concerts, Armed Forces Day, as well as attending carnivals, military air shows, and military open days.
