ON Christmas Eve/Christmas morning, I was unfortunate enough to fall in my bedroom and fracture my arm.
I was in considerable distress and pain.
However, I just couldn't fault the care and professionalism that I was given by the NHS, from the dear paramedics, the surgeons, the nurses, the support staff and all concerned in my recovery!

To this end, I am unable to understand why Salisbury council is spending our council tax money on funding St John Ambulances for new year revellers (we managed over the Christmas period).
St John's Ambulance does a sterling job, and like many others, I always support them.
However, there are far more important issues that citizens want addressed before spending our money on something like this: toilets, potholes and making Salisbury attractive again, just for starters.
