Hampshire County Council has confirmed the closures as part of 70 announced road closures in the county, along with temporary 40mph speed restrictions on two additional roads.
The measures, authorised under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, will support planned works on or near these roads.

The New Forest roads affected are as follows:
Waltons Avenue, Holbury – between its junction with Long Lane and its junction with Springfield Avenue
Pooks Green, Marchwood – between its junction with Tavells Lane and its junction with Park Lane
Copthorne Lane, Fawley – between its junction with Ashlett Road and its termination
Salisbury Road (service road), Breamore – between its junction with Salisbury Road and its termination
Danes Close (spur), New Milton – between its junction with Danes Close and its termination
Mockbeggar Lane, Ringwood – between its junction with A338 and its junction with Road From Moyles Court To Mockbeggar
Road from Whitsbury Cross Towards Outwick, Breamore – between its junction with Road From Whitsbury Cross Towards Outwick and its junction with Green Lane
Sky End Lane, Hordle – between its junction with Vicarage Lane and its junction with Hordle Lane
Winsor Road, Copythorne – between its junction with Pound Lane and its junction with Barrow Hill Road
Paradise Lane, Netley Marsh – between its junction with Bourne Road and its junction with Bourne Lane
Vicarage Lane, Hordle – between its junction with Hordle Lane and its junction with Sky End Lane Road

The order will be in place from February 16, 2026, for a period of 18 months, though Hampshire County Council said the duration of works will vary depending on technical requirements.
Signage will be erected on-site to indicate closure times and patterns prior to and during works.
The council has stated that access to adjacent properties will be maintained throughout the works.
