Engage Wilton festival to launch with two free events

A new festival is launching to celebrate music, drama and talks.

Engage Wilton will be launched on Saturday, April 25, at Wilton Village.

The festival is the vision of Lizzie Flynn, creative director and inspiration behind two community choirs in Wilton.

The weekend festival of music, drama, talks and workshops will take place in October at venues throughout Wilton.

At 2pm, author and musician Nick Cowen will give a talk titled 'Paths to Inspiration', including a creative collage opportunity.

At 4.30pm, The Parish Warden, a concert by Wilton Rumours, a concert by Wilton Rumours, a superb collection of musicians and singers who have gained an enthusiastic following.

Both of these events are free but entry will be by tickets only and are available from eventbrite.co.uk/engage-wilton or by contacting lizzieflynn53@gmail.com or calling 07540 334356.

The festival has announced a series of monthly Thursday lunchtime concerts beginning on May 7 at St Mary's Old Church in Wilton.

The concerts will be showcased on Market Day.
