A budding musical theatre star from Salisbury is heading to a prestigious London drama school.

Eighteen-year-old Alfie Flynn has secured one of just 40 spots at the renowned Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, outshining more than 1,200 hopefuls in the audition process.

Alfie's journey in performing arts started at the age of five with a summer workshop at a local performing arts school.

Defying these initial expectations, Alfie began attending weekly sessions in singing, acting, and dance.

Over the years, Saturday mornings became a routine of rehearsals, exams, and competitions, with Alfie eventually becoming runner-up in West End Calling 2025, a national contest with nearly 2,000 participants.

Alfie then took to the stage with local theatre companies, securing lead roles in productions like Les Misérables and Grease.

After two years of training at Emil Dale Academy in Hertfordshire, Alfie's talent has now earned him a place in one of the country's top drama schools.

Set to start his musical theatre degree in September, Alfie aspires to lead roles in West End productions and, perhaps, one day on Broadway.

Alfie is currently looking for sponsors due to the cost of the training.
