A new food festival brought a day of family fun and flavour to Wilton.

The Wilton Village Summer Food Festival took place on Sunday, July 26 from 10am to 4pm, and celebrated Wiltshire’s thriving food scene with an array of artisan producers and street food vendors.

Cooking demonstrations were held throughout the day, along with a cake baking competition open to both children and adults.

Jennie Lawrence of Our Local Market said: "We're passionate about showcasing the incredible food and drink businesses we have here in Wiltshire, and this new event is the perfect opportunity to bring them together in one place.

"We've created a day that's not only packed with fantastic local flavours but also offers plenty of fun for the whole family, from cooking demonstrations and our exciting cake baking competition to hands-on activities for families.

"We can't wait to welcome everyone to Wilton Village for what promises to be a brilliant day out."

The first 50 arrivals were treated to complimentary strawberries and cream, while adults could enjoy a glass of prosecco or orange juice on arrival.

Organisers say the festival is designed to celebrate the best of Wiltshire’s food and drink scene while supporting local businesses and fostering a sense of community.

The event was free to attend.
