Season four of the popular crime drama Van der Valk is finally set to air in the UK.
Starring Marc Warren as the determined Dutch detective Piet Van der Valk, the new season first premiered in the US in September 2024.
It follows Van der Valk and his team as they tackle complex crimes on the streets of Amsterdam while navigating personal challenges.
Discussing the latest season, co-writer Chris Murray said that it was "the best series of Van Der Valk we’ve done so far."
He added: "Three strong, contrasting, resolving films flooded with our distinctive team dynamic but this time with the added spice of Piet’s combative ex-girlfriend turning up at the same time as one of our team has to confront their own mortality.”
Warren also spoke about the expanded scale of the latest season.
He said: "What it felt like, and I felt it really strongly in episode one, it felt like a bigger show.
"It seemed like we had more crew and there was more going on.
"In episode one particularly it was quite an intricate show, lots of cars and explosions and stunts, and it felt like the whole show had gone up a level."

When will Van der Valk season 4 air on TV?
The first episode of Van der Valk's fourth season will air at 8pm on Sunday, August 2 on ITV1.
After that, the remaining two episodes should air in the same timeslot on the following two Sundays.
Episodes will be available to watch on ITVX also.
