A respected craftsman has taken on one of the highest honours in his trade.
Mark Romain MBE, a Salisbury businessman with more than 50 years in the saddlery industry, has been installed as Prime Warden of the historic Worshipful Company of Saddlers.
He took up the position during an inauguration ceremony at Saddlers' Hall in the City of London on Monday, July 20.

Mr Romain said: "Becoming Prime Warden of the Saddlers’ Company is a huge privilege and something I never dreamed would happen to me.
"Along with the position comes much responsibility and I will do my best to fulfil those duties throughout the year."
The Worshipful Company of Saddlers dates back to the 12th century and was granted a Royal Charter in 1363.
As Prime Warden, Mr Romain will serve as the company's principal ambassador and leader for the next year, presiding over its Court and guiding its charitable and educational work.
He began his career in 1973 with an apprenticeship in saddlery and later established the Saddlery Training Centre in Salisbury with his wife Dawn.
Mr Romain is also a Master Saddler, former president of the Society of Master Saddlers, and was appointed MBE for services to the trade.
