THE Earl of Pembroke is ‘over the moon’ after proposing to his long-term girlfriend over the Easter weekend.

Lord Pembroke (30) announced his engagement to Victoria Bullough on Tuesday after returning from a break in Scotland.

He proposed to the 23-year-old by the edge of Loch Tay, which is the largest loch in Perthshire and close to her home town of Perth.

“It was incredibly romantic,” said Lord Pembroke, who was once dubbed one of the country’s most eligible bachelors.

“We met through a mutual friend in London about four years ago and she has been living with me at Wilton for the last two years or so.”

The couple plans to get married early next summer and are currently deciding between Wilton and Scotland as a venue for the wedding.

Miss Bullough, the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael Bullough, has just completed a degree in interior architecture at Chelsea and graduated with First Class honours.

She went travelling for five months after leaving university and is currently on a placement doing interior design at a company in London.

“She has worked so hard,” said Lord Pembroke, who was ranked 759th in the Sunday Times Rich List in 2008 with an estimated wealth of £105million.

“Interiors is her main thing. She loves Wilton and loves being down here. We have got a dog each and love taking them out too.”
