THE British Army’s highest-ranking female officer joined cadets at Godolphin School for their biennial inspection.

Brigadier Nicky Moffat inspected the girls that are part of the school’s Combined Cadet Force (CCF). The school offers one of the very few all-girls’ Combined Cadet Forces in the country, and receives support from the 32 Regiment Royal Artillery, Larkhill.

The aim of the CCF is to provide cadets with training of a challenging and exciting nature, to foster confidence, self-reliance, initiative, loyalty, and a sense of service to other people. At Godolphin School CCF there is an even split between military and adventure training.

The day was a success and Brig Moffat said it was a real pleasure to witness the energy and enthusiasm of the girls as they took part in exercises.
