Over thirty services and events take place in the Cathedral during Holy Week and its climax of Easter Day, with the music of Bach and the Churches Together in Salisbury passion pageant ‘Way of the Cross (WOTC) 2010’ the focus of attention.

Bach Mass in B Minor - On Saturday 27 March at 7.30pm, Salisbury Musical Society and Chelsea Opera Group Orchestra are joined by soloists to perform the Mass in B Minor, regarded by many as one of the most inspiring expressions of faith.

Bach St John Passion - On Wednesday 31 March at 7.00pm, the Cathedral Choir is joined by Sarum Orchestra and Olivia Robinson to perform the St John Passion.

Holy Week Devotions - On Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 March at 7.30pm, the Bishop of Salisbury leads two Holy Week Devotions (followed by Compline) reflecting on Bach’s own faith and how it is expressed in his setting of the St John Passion.

The Way of the Cross 2010 - Over 5,000 people are expected to follow the dramatic re-enactment of the story of Holy Week in the Way of the Cross 2010, directed by Canon Precentor Jeremy Davies.

Beginning in the High Street at 7.00pm on Good Friday, this huge torch-lit pageant arrives at The Close at 8.30pm and reaches its climax in the Cathedral at about 9.30pm.
