In 2008, an Open Day to celebrate the Cathedral’s 750th anniversary attracted over 4,000 visitors.

The day was a huge success and so this year the Cathedral is hosting an Open Day on Saturday 19 June.

The main aim is to show visitors what takes place at the Cathedral on a day to day basis and to create an opportunity to sample a range of special experiences, reveal behind the scenes activities and show the Cathedral’s community life.

Building on the experiences of the last Open Day, this year’s event includes even more activities, displays and tours.

The success of our day will be largely down to those who volunteer their time to help before or on the day.

If you think you could help with any of the activities, or would just like to become involved, please contact Lesley Burton on (01722) 555123.

Full details of the day’s activities can be found in June’s edition of Cathedral News.
