Daniel Cook, Cathedral’s Organist gives an exciting recital in the Cathedral on Wednesday 19 May at 7.30pm.
His programme is a marvellous mix of music by living composers, including Judith Bingham, Jean Guillou, Francis Jackson, John McCabe, Paul Patterson and Judith Weir, and great masterpieces from the organ repertoire including J S Bach’s Passacaglia, BWV 582 and Jongen’s Sonata Eroïca.
Daniel said: “The Salisbury Willis Organ is famous for its versatility, and I have had great fun matching the more modern pieces to the glorious sounds of our great instrument. This recital promises to be a fascinating journey both for me as performer and for the audience.”
