AN appeal for a planning application to build seven flats will be heard in Salisbury in September.

The application to remove former workshop units and related outbuildings and construct five new flats and convert an existing flat into two two-bedroom flats at 44 York Road was refused because the site is in a medium risk flood zone.

But applicant Diane Atkins is appealing the decision on the grounds that the Environment Agency had no objection to the proposal provided the floor was at a specific level, which she had agreed to.

The hearing will be held at The Training Room, The Depot, Churchfields on September 15 at 10am.
